Privacy policy

Last updated 29 October 2026. This policy explains what we collect when you send an enquiry through our form, because you should know how your details are used.

Who we are

Norwich Plumbing Services operates the website plumbinginnorwich.co.uk. We take plumbing enquiries across Norwich and the surrounding area and may pass them to a local plumber, so we handle personal data only when you ask us to.

To ask a question about this policy, use the contact form, because we do not publish a public email address or phone number.

What personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you send an enquiry through our form. The form asks for the details below.

  • Your name and phone number
  • Your postcode and address
  • The service you need
  • Notes about the job

The form also has a hidden field that helps us spot automated spam. It collects no extra personal data. We do not collect payment details, government ID numbers or sensitive personal data.

How we use your data

We use your details to respond to your enquiry and, where you ask for a quote, to pass it to a local plumber who covers your area. They use it to contact you and prepare a quote, because that is the service you ask for when you send the form. We also keep internal records of enquiries.

Lawful bases

We rely on your consent to pass your request to a professional. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us through the form. We also rely on our legitimate interest in keeping records of enquiries and in understanding how the site is used, although this does not override your rights.

We do not send marketing messages without your clear consent. Sending an enquiry is not consent to marketing, because we ask for that separately.

Who we share data with

We share your details with local plumbers, solely to fulfil your enquiry. They handle your data under their own privacy policies and are responsible for it once we pass it on. The website and the system that stores enquiries are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes data on our behalf. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone for their own marketing, although we may disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months from the date you send them. After that we delete them securely. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will do so promptly, since you have a right to erasure.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how it is used. Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies on your device, _ga and _ga_EPVM8MFGP8, to tell returning visitors apart and count visits, but only after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are stored. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer, and our lawful basis for Google Analytics is your consent. We have denied advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation, and we set no advertising cookies. Google still receives technical details such as the page address and your browser type. You can stop Google Analytics by blocking cookies in your browser settings or by installing Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the following rights over your personal data.

  • Access: ask for a copy of the data we hold
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use it
  • Portability: ask for your data in a common format
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdrawal: withdraw consent at any time

To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact form. We will reply within one month.

Complaints and security

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before you complain. However, you may go to the ICO at any time.

We protect your data with technical and organisational measures. Form submissions travel over HTTPS. We may update this policy from time to time, and we show the date at the top, because you should know when it changed.
